Japan-based game publisher aNCHOR has just shown off a new work-in-progress gameplay video for Project Mikhail, its action game based on the Muv-Luv franchise that is coming out for the PC, Android and iOS platforms. This is not to be confused with its other game, Project Immortal, that is being concurrently for the same platforms. Be sure to read our coverage on that game here.
In any case, the pre-alpha video shows the player battling an extraterrestrial threat known as BETA in a BETA Hive. The accompanying commentary suggests that the game has not yet to achieve its final quality, and certain aspects of the game such as motions are still in a very early state.
There is very little else we know about the game but Project Mikhail will adapt the settings of the original Muv-Luv, which for the uninitiated, is an adult game franchise that made its debut in 2003. Its real claim to fame however is the fact that it was a well-written and competent science fiction story. One would wonder how the developer is going to manage with committing to two projects, but seeing as they are not rushing this out, we may just get a polished product.
