Wizards of the Coast SEA is organizing a Welcome Party to celebrate the launch of the Magic: The Gathering Lord of The Rings: Tales of Middle-Earth (MTG LOTR) set, welcoming new and old players to try the game.
The MTG LOTR Welcome Party will be held at Paradigm Mall, from July 1st to July 2nd, and Wizards of the Coast SEA have even prepared a Facebook event with directions to the venue.
Admission for the event is free, with new players encouraged to come learn about Lord of The Rings, Magic: The Gathering or both.
It’ll be held at the UG Event Hall, and will feature exclusive merchandise such as a counter for tracking the set’s The Ring Tempts You mechanic as well as special pins.
Additionally, there’ll be mini games as well as commander games to try out the various pre-constructed decks themed around iconic Lord of The Rings characters, including Sauron himself.
Wizards of the Coast even welcomes new players, promising additional prizes for people who bring new friends with them.
“Players new to MTG can pick up gameplay basics through free mini games, and sample the excitement of an MTG adventure, aided by iconic Middle-earth characters, with a Starter Kit”, says Wizards of the Coast SEA. “Relive pivotal moments of the Third Age with our favourite LOTR characters by playing Commander Decks, the fan-favourite multiplayer Magic format, with fellow companions. Bring a friend to join the fellowship, and be rewarded together for the valor with exclusive merchandise. Capture cherished moments with photo opportunities at the photo booth and with guest cosplayers”.
Lord of The Rings: Tales Of Middle-Earth is the latest set part of MTG’s Universes Beyond line, crossing over with popular IPs such as Warhammer 40K.
