Magic: The Gathering (MtG) is collaborating with rapper Post Malone to celebrate the return of the Friday Night Magic community event, which sees fans coming together to play the iconic card game.
They haven’t given explicit details about how Post Malone will come together with MtG, but Wizards have revealed it will involve their limited run Secret Lair series, so it’s not too far-fetched to assume you’ll soon be able to summon Post Malone or possibly have him as a Commander in future.
“You’d be hard-pressed to find a bigger fan of Magic: The Gathering than Post Malone,” said Nathan Stewart, Head of Franchise Marketing for Wizards of the Coast. “As a fan for years, he knows just how much Friday Night Magic means to players. We’re thrilled to collaborate with Posty in ways that will allow his signature style, talent and love of the game to combine in ways fans will never forget.”
“I’m obsessed with Magic: The Gathering. This is really a dream come true,” said Post Malone. “We’ll be doing some cool stuff so keep an eye out.”
It’s been a big year for Magic: The Gathering- the trading card game is celebrating over 25th years of history, with all sorts of milestones such as the announcement of their own animated series and various collaborations.
