MSI has shown off its previously teased Evangelion collaboration, showing off a selection of Eva-01-themed PC components to build your own mecha-themed gaming rig.
Rather than a whole collaboration PC, the MSI Evangelion collaboration will instead be several components, ranging from a PC case to a Liquid Cooler to really make a Cruel Angel’s Gaming PC.
Here’s the full list of components available as part of the MSI Evangelion e:Project:
- B660 Tomahawk [Motherboard]
- Gungnir 110R EVA e-Project [PC Case]
- MAG Coreliquid C240 EVA e-Project [Liquid Cooler]
- A650BN EVA e-PROJECT Power Supply
These are all co-branded variants of regular PC parts available on the market, but tech site Tom’s Hardware notes that the B660 Tomahawk motherboard does boast higher specs than its regular retail version, sporting DDR5 memory support instead of the DDR4 that the vanilla B660 Tomahawk uses.
As previously reported, these components come in the colors of Evangelion Unit 01, the main mecha piloted by series protagonist Shinji Ikari. They were mentioned as part of the Japanese lineup for their CES 2022 presentation.
We still don’t have many details such as a launch date, or even a price. But given that they’d already shown off the participating components we can probably expect to hear more about it soon.
