The epic saga of Mortal Kombat 11 continues in the Aftermath! As teased earlier today, the game was hinted to receive a story expansion, a first for a NetherRealm title. Check out the official reveal trailer below!
The Mortal Kombat 11 Aftermath DLC will also add three new playable characters, one of whom is RoboCop, played by Peter Weller himself. The DLC will be available for all platforms of the game is available on on 26 May. Aftermath continues right after the end of the story of the base game, with Liu Kang out to create his own history.
However, in killing Kronika, Liu Kang had destroyed her crown, and without it, he can’t restart history. In an unlikely alliance between Shang Tsung, Fujin and Nightwolf, they get sent back into the events of the main story to retrieve the crown before Kronika can get her hands on it. The trio had been trapped by Kronika, only freed upon her death, if you were wondering.
Sheeva, Sindell, Fujin and Nightwolf will be the biggest stars of this story expansion, something their fans can surely eagerly look forward to. RoboCop, Sheeva and Fujin are the trio of new playable characters with the DLC. Three character skin packs will also be added over time. Additionally, Mortal Kombat 11 will be giving a free update that adds fan-favourite stages (Klassic Dead Pool and Soul Chamber), stage fatalities and friendships.
There will be the Aftermath Kollection for the whole package and the option to upgrade to Aftermath for owners of the base game. All pre-orders will receive the Eternal Klash skin pack too.
