2K has announced that players can now recruit Morbius to their teams for Marvel’s Midnight Suns in the new “The Hunger” DLC. This DLC marks the third post-launch DLC for Marvel’s Midnight Suns and is now available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
In The Hunger, Morbius, who transformed himself into a bat-like creature in an attempt to cure his rare disease, must now join forces with the Midnight Suns to combat a vampyre threat. And as if that wasn’t enough, Hydra are now creating a squadron of transformed supersoldiers by infusing undead DNA to their troops.
Morbius who had hoped to reverse engineer their traits to create a serum that would let him withstand the sunlight must now be careful to not have his research be in the wrong hands; as it could make all of vampyre-kind unstoppable.
The Hunger DLC includes:
- New Recruitable Hero: Morbius, a living vampire wielding 11 unique Hero Abilities
- New Story Missions: Fight a host of fresh enemy types across challenging new encounters
- New Abbey Upgrade: Laboratory
- 3 Additional Hero Skins, 7 Abbey Outfits, and 2 Swimsuits for Morbius
Players can recruit Morbius by completing his first story mission titled “Weird Science”, which will be playable once players complete the “Spidermaaaans” mission and Spider-Man unmasks in the Abbey during Act One.
Morbius focuses on applying Bleed to enemies and capitalising that effect for increased damage during combat. He can also enter a Bloodlust state after using a few of his abilities, which grants him Block and causing all of his damage abilities to apply Bleed.
Players can pair Blade who distributes Bleed through Chain abilities with Morbius who focuses more on increased single-target damage for a blood fest. Additionally, Morbius’ “A Greater Hunger” Passive from building Friendship lowers the required amount of cards needed to activate his Bloodlust state.
Players can purchase permanent modifications to a hero’s secondary stats as part of Morbius’ unique Abbey Rsearch project called “Laboratory”. Upgrading Laboratory increases the amount of stat options and their rarity. However, these modifications will have their trade-offs.
