Embark on a journey with your Monsties once again as a remastered version of Monster Hunter Stories has been announced today.
Revealed during today’s Nintendo Direct, Monster Hunter Stories remastered is planned to be released on the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam in summer 2024.
The remastered version of Monster Hunter Stories will not only come with more refined graphics with improved models, textures, and lighting, but it will also come with additions and enhancements.
A highlight of this version as revealed by Capcom is that it will be fully voiced in both Japanese and English voiceovers, in addition to additional language support for its interface, including Traditional and Simplified Chinese, Korean, Russian, Brazilian, Portuguese, Polish, and Arabic.
Another addition is the Museum Mode, which is an in-game feature for fans to browse through the game’s developer sketches, concept art, background music, and more.
Title updates that were previously only available in Japan, will also now be included in this version of Monster Hunter Stories.
Monster Hunter Stories was originally released on the Nintendo 3DS in 2016 and is a spin-off title of the Monster Hunter franchise that pushes the series into a monster collector RPG genre akin to Pokémon.
In the world of Stories, instead of hunting the monsters, players would become Riders and forge bonds with the fantastical creatures, riding them as Monsties with the help of kinship stones.
A sequel titled “Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin” was then released in 2021 for the Nintendo Switch and PC, featuring more Monsties to collect, including some fan-favorites from Monster Hunter World as well as Deviants from Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate.
