PlayStation 4 owners rejoice as Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin will be coming to the platform digitally alongside the release of Monster Hunter Stories remastered.
Unveiled today in Capcom Highlights livestream, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin will be soaring onto PlayStation 4 digitally on June 14, 2024.
The release will be day and date with the remastered version of Monster Hunter Stories, and both titles will also be available together as a special digital “Monster Hunter Stories Collection”.
The collection will also be available physically for the Nintendo Switch version in North America and Asia.
However, the collection will not be available in Japan, but a standalone version of Monster Hunter Stories remastered will be available physically.
Pre-orders are also set to be available soon and Monster Hunter fans who pre-ordered will obtain the Kamura Maiden Outfit for Ena as a bonus, inspired by the costumes of Hinoa and Minoto from Monster Hunter Rise.
Note that the pre-order bonus may be available after launch and that the outfits for Ena only change her appearance.
Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin first launched for the Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam in 2021 and is the sequel of the spin-off series that takes a pet-collector turn-based RPG spin on the Monster Hunter series.
Aside from a new story, this sequel also features many new Monsties, many from both the fourth and fifth generation including the Deviants, and the many monsters from Monster Hunter World: Iceborne.
