Monster Hunter Stories 2 has shown off update 4 for the game, adding a new Monstie, as well as an update to Kulve Taroth, increasing the quest difficulty.
The trailer shows that Molten Tigrex and the new Kulve Taroth fight will be coming to Title Update 4 on September 30th, though we’ll have to wait for the monstie’s launch to learn more about its skills.
Meanwhile the Kulve Taroth fight is a higher-difficulty variant of the monster, seemingly based off of the Tempered Kulve Taroth from Monster Hunter World, which was itself a rework of that game’s Kulve Taroth fight. Just like every other version of this monster, the new fight will also be co-op exclusive.
The September 30th update will also bring with it a new quest, letting you slay Oroshi Kirin, as well as an 8-star quest for Dragon Eggs.
These two aren’t the only new content coming to Monster Hunter Stories 2 with Title Update 4, however. A second new Monstie, Dread King Rathalos, will also make its appearance on October 7th.
It will also come with several new quests, including a 9-star Elder Dragon Den, as well as a slay quest involving both Molten Tigrex and Dreadking Rathalos for those of you who want a more difficult fight.
