Monster Hunter Stories 2 update 3 hits 2 September 2021

Following their roadmap, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin has released a preview trailer for Free Title Update 3. It was previously simply scheduled for “early September”, with its date now confirmed.

Monster Hunter Stories 2 Update 3 consists of the following:

2 SEPTEMBER

• New Monsties
  • Soulseer Mizutsune
  • Elderfrost Gammoth
  • Oroshi Kirin
• New Quests
  • Co-op 8-star: (Explore) Water Eggs
  • Co-op 8-star: (Explore) Ice Eggs
  • Subquest 8-star: Ice Phantom
  • Delivery 4-star: (Special) Bag Me Some Bugs

16 SEPTEMBER

• New Quests
  • Co-op 8-star: (Explore) Fated Four Den
  • Co-op 8-star: (Turn) Mizutsune
  • Co-op 8-star: (Turn) Gammoth
  • Co-op 9-star: (Slay) Soulseer Mizutsune
  • Co-op 9-star: (Slay) Elderfrost Gammoth
  • Subquest 8-star: Heavenly Eye
  • Subquest 8-star: Unconquerable Mountaitn
  • Delivery 8-star: (Special) Pluck Me Some Shrooms

In the mean time, the following is still slated for “late September” as part of update 4:

A Trial Version is available should you wish to try out the game – either for the Nintendo Switch or PC via Steam – naturally with certain functionalities limited. You can transfer your save file to the full game if you do decide to get it, scoring yourself a Kinship Talisman to activate the Master Mounter and Wide-Range skills.
