Monster Hunter Stories 2 has released a new trailer, showing off new features as well as announcing the release date for the upcoming RPG.
According to the new trailer put out by Capcom, Monster Hunter Stories 2 : Wings of Ruin has a global release date of July 9th, where it will be available for everyone simultaneously regardless of language.
In addition to revealing more of the game’s story, the new trailer also shows us Co-Op Quests, allowing you to do team up attacks with both your Monstie and your friend and their own buddy.
The trailer shows off a lot of the game’s story, finally explaining why the characters mention Rathalos as being a rare monster in the first trailer. According to the characters Rathalos are seen as a bad omen, after one nearly destroyed a whole village.
However like any JRPG, things aren’t always what they seem, and an effect very similar to Frenzy from Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate is shown, likely being the driving force behind the matter.
The trailer also gives us a peak at some monsters being added to the game as rideable Monsties, such as Mizutsune, Kulu Yat Ku and Nergigante, though it not confirmed if the flagship Elder Dragon would be rideable.
