Monster Hunter Stories 2 : Wings of Ruin is getting a demo, letting you try out the early parts of the upcoming turn-based RPG.
The Monster Hunter Stories 2 demo will start June 25th, and any progress you make during the demo will carry forward into the full game itself. Considering this, it’s safe to assume the demo will simply be the early minutes of the game, so don’t expect to get too wild with the builds you can pull off here.
Aside from that they also announced some of the DLC planned for Monster Hunter Stories 2, with the first one being a DLC Monstie for the game. Rather than be a large Elder Dragon, however, the DLC is a Palamute from Monster Hunter Rise. You’ll be able to do all the Palamute’s attacks from Rise, so you’ll definitely want to add it to your team.
Sadly, it looks like it’s just going to be the default Palamute, so don’t expect to get to customize it.
This was all shown following up a trailer for Monster Hunter Stories 2, which showed more of the backstory for the Razewing Ratha, wielder of the Wings of Ruin. It shows that tensions are at an all-time high between Hunters and Riders, especailly with Ratha’s existence being known.
Monster Hunter Stories 2 releases July 9th for Nintendo Switch and PC.
