Capcom has announced significant leadership changes, with Monster Hunter series producer Ryozo Tsujimoto being promoted to Chief Product Officer (CPO) in charge of Development Divisions. The promotion is part of a broader restructuring of Capcom’s executive team effective April 1, 2025.
Tsujimoto, who previously served as Director and Executive Corporate Officer with deputy responsibility for Development Divisions, will now take full control of Capcom’s development operations. He succeeds Yoichi Egawa, who will be stepping down from his current position and is scheduled to assume the role of Chairman at Enterrise CO., LTD, a Capcom subsidiary.
The leadership change comes following Egawa’s planned resignation as director of Capcom, which will be finalized at the company’s 46th Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders in June 2025. During his tenure, Egawa oversaw both Development Divisions and Pachinko & Pachislo Business Divisions. Tsujimoto is well-known for his work on the Monster Hunter franchise, one of Capcom’s most successful properties. As a member of Capcom’s board, he will continue to shape the company’s development strategy in his expanded role.

This executive reorganization is part of a broader set of personnel changes at Capcom, including the promotion of Yoshinobu Sasahara to Executive Corporate Officer and his nomination as a new director candidate, as well as the appointment of Yasuko Metcalf as an external director candidate. The company also announced that Haruhiro Tsujimoto will maintain his position as President and Representative Director while adding responsibility for the Pachinko & Pachislo Business Divisions to his existing oversight of Arcade Operations Business.
