Today during Capcom’s segment at Tokyo Game Show 2022, a free title update version 12 for Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak was revealed which featured new monsters, layered weapons and much more which is set to be available on 29th September.
New Monsters
Violet Mizutsune
Violet Mizutsune uses the fluid it secretes to slide around, its prey with gas-filled bubbles. Though it may appear as a graceful creature, it can wrap itself in flames and bathe its surroundings in a beautiful, but deadly, inferno of white hot flame.
Flaming Espinas
Flaming Espinas will be making its return from Monster Hunter Frontiers. It’s more aggressive than the regular Espinas and can focus all of its physical strength to unleash a breath attack. It is said that this attack is even powerful enough to one-shot a hunter.
Risen Chameleos
An elder dragon that has overcome the affliction through symbiosis with the Qurio has been sighted. Risen Chameleos uses new moves and forms to attack hunters with even more ferocious force. The Risen Chameleos quest is unlocked at MR10.
Players are able to use these monster’s materials to create new weapons and armour and there’s even more new skills in store for players.
Expanded Anomaly Research Content
- Added A6* Anomaly Quests which feature Gore Magala, Espinas, Bazelgeuse, Pyre, Rakna-Kadaki and Rajang
- Raised Level Cap for Anomaly Investigations where quests can now go up to Lv 120.
- Expanded Qurious Crafting which brings in new augmentations for your weapons along with new upgrades becoming available as well.
Layered Weapons
Layered Weapons will have players be able to change the appearance to your weapon, and almost all weapons up to Ver.12 are available for forging. It is necessary to advance MR to enable the function of crafting layered weapons in The Smithy and purchased layered weapons can be changed at any time.
New Event Quests
After the Ver.12 update, event quests with different rewards will be released regularly (Scheduled to be released every Thursday). The quests can be claimed by going to the Courier and selecting the “Add-on content” from the menu. They can then be accepted by going to the Quest Counter at the Outpost or the Gathering Hub.
More DLC Planned
Additional Layered Weapons “Lost Code” 14 types of weapons appear. There is a clever mechanism when taking out the weapon, and it is a design that pays great attention to the appearance. And apart from the layered armor, the title update also be adding layered weapons and hunter & buddies’ layered armor, as well as some new gestures, poses, hairstyles, and stickers.
