Monster Hunter Rise finally has a release date on PC, as announced during the TGS 2021 livestream today.
Capcom says fans eager to play Monster Hunter Rise on PC can do so when the game will release on 12th January, 2022. Fans will also be able to download a free demo of the game starting October 13th.
Aside from just being a straight port of the game on Switch, Monster Hunter Rise on PC will have a variety of new features, such as ultrawide support, improved framerate and voice chat.
On top of that the game will also feature 4k support, something that wasn’t attainable on the Nintendo Switch release of the game.
Based on the trailer, it looks like PC players will start at the 3.0 update, which features Crimson Glow Valstrax as well as the completed story for the game.
Unfortunately, this won’t be a simultaneous release with Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak, so fans will still have to wait to find out when that expansion releases on Steam.
Meanwhile, Capcom have already announced the next Capcom collaboration for Monster Hunter Rise, which features Arthur from Ghosts n Goblins. They’ve also announced a Sonic collaboration, though details on that are sparse for now.
The Arthur collab will drop on 29th of October for fans wanting another layered armor from the Capcom Collaboration series.
