Capcom announced the details of the upcoming Monster Hunter Rise Elder Dragons update, bringing the signature endgame monsters into the game proper as well as other quality of life features and updates to the games Rampage quests.
The trailer shows off several of the game’s returning Elder Dragons, including mainstays Teostra and Kushala Daora. On top of that, the previously teased Chameleos is also returning to the series after being absent during Monster Hunter World.
Aside from that, the update is bringing new endgame to Monster Hunter Rise, with new Apex monsters for the game’s Rampage Quests. Apex Rathalos and Apex Rathalos are coming to the game, with movesets based off of Dreadking Rathalos and Bloodbath Diablos from Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate.
In addition to that, you’ll also be able to face off against Apex monsters in bespoke quests, rather than only facing them in the game’s Rampage quests.
They’ve also improved quality of life for hunters with the Monster Hunter Rise Elder Dragons update, allowing you to forge layered armors to customize your armor sets without worrying about having a sub-optimal build.
The update will also see the unlocking of players Hunter Ranks, bringing new rewards for players who have hit the endgame. Speaking of, Capcom have also announced that they’d addressed the previously mentioned issues with the game’s melding pot bug.
Finally, Capcom also announced the return of Event Quests, special quests that can be downloaded and played even offline. This time around they’ve dropped Monster Hunter World’s time-locked Event Quests, and have gone back to the old system where once you have them, they’re yours to keep. Players can use these to get more stickers, emotes as well as some unique gear.
