Capcom has announced the 2022 edition of the Monster Hunter Orchestra, complete with global livestream so fans all around the world can tune in.
The Monster Hunter Orchestra returns on August 27th 2022, and will be streamed online for international viewers.
Tickets for the event are priced at 3500 Yen (RM116), and you can buy them from the Zaiko website which includes the VOD until September 4th.
Performed by the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra and conducted by Monster Hunter Orchestra veteran Hirofumi Kurita, this musical performance will feature orchestral renditions of popular music from the series, including Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak.
The show will even feature the following guest performers:
- Sarah Àlainn (Vocal)
- HIDE×HIDE(Shakuhachi and Shamisen – Japanese musical instrument unit)
- Momoka Enomoto (Biwa)
- Keiichiro Shozu(Bandoneon)
- Daisuke Miyazaki (Guitar)
The Monster Hunter Orchestra is a tradition dating back to 2009, having been held to comemmorate the series’ 5th anniversary.
Monster Hunter is one of Capcom’s most successful franchises, with 2018’s Monster Hunter World being their highest-selling title at over 18 million units sold.
Monster Hunter Rise, which launched on the Nintendo Switch last year and PC earlier this year, is also among the highest-selling Capcom titles, with 10.3 million units sold as per Capcom’s website.
