Monster Hunter Now is now available to download on Android in Singapore, Canada, Hong Kong, and Sweden, ahead of its global launch.
The announcement comes from the official Monster Hunter Now Twitter account.
This release serves as a soft-launch for the game ahead of its planned September 2023 release later this year.
Monster Hunter Now is an Augmented Reality (AR) based mobile RPG that lets players hunt down monsters in the real world through their smartphones.
The game is developed by Capcom and Niantic, the developers of the worldwide sensation Pokémon GO, which was launched in 2016 and continues to maintain a substantial player base even after 7 years.
Similar to Pokémon GO, players will need to walk around in the real world in order to find monsters, engage in battles, gather resources, and complete quests.
Currently, at launch, Monster Hunter Now offers players the opportunity to fight against 13 different monsters, with the potential for additional creatures such as Elder Dragons to be introduced in the future.
There are also a number of different weapon types to choose from, including Sword and Shield, Greatsword, Hammer, Longsword, Light Bowgun, and Bow.
Monster Hunter fans in Singapore, Canada, Hong Kong, and Sweden can now download the game from the Google Play Store.
For those residing outside the soft launch countries and iOS users, you can pre-register now on the game’s official webpage to receive rewards upon its launch.
