Below is the list of new content coming to Monster Hunter Now:
New Weapon: Charge Blade
The new update will allow players to have a charge blade.
This weapon type comprises two modes, the maneuverable sword and the powerful axe. Players can charge energy while in Sword Mode and use the weapon in Axe Mode to inflict even more damage. They can also use the Super Amped Element Discharge to unleash all the energy in one powerful attack.
Additional Large Monsters
3 new large monsters are coming to the game, namely Odogaron, Tzitzi-Ya-Ku, and Deviljho.
Odogaron and Tzitzi-Ya-Ku will be unlocked after completing their corresponding urgent quests, while Deviljho can be found through a new feature called Invasions.
Invasions
Speaking of which, a new feature Invasions is also being added to the game.
Now when you tap on a large monster within a volatile territory, other monsters may suddenly invade. The previously mentioned Deviljho will only appear in these invasions.
Layered Equipment
Players can now change what they’re wearing without compromising protection. Layered equipment has a different functionality than usual equipment, so the player can change their appearance without affecting their armor.
Upgrading armor that can be forged from materials to grade 6 will allow you to use it as layered equipment.
Seasons and the Season Pass
A new system called Seasons will also be added in this update, and it acts like a battle pass from other games.
With the Season Pass, you can collect Tier Points by completing certain requirements such as slaying large monsters. By raising your Season Tier, you can obtain a variety of rewards.
The Season Pass will come with a Free Plan and a Premium Plan. and various rewards will be made available by purchasing the Premium Plan.
Mechanic Upgrades
Several new mechanics are also added to the game, including:
New Status Ailment – Bleed
Odagaron’s attack will inflict a new status ailment called bleeding.
The bleeding state will cause hunters to accumulate bleeding damage every time they attack or perform an evade. If they receive an attack while bleeding, the damage will be added to the amount of damage accumulated from bleeding.
Bleeding will stop if the hunter avoids attacking and evading for a while.
New Skills
Latent Power, Quick Work, and Status Sneak Attack will be added to the game to better deal with the new monsters.
More Loadouts
The maximum number of load-outs has been increased from five to ten.
Event Quests
Last but not least, to celebrate the 6-month anniversary of Monster Hunter Now, the game will have 16 special quests for players to complete. By completing these quests, players can earn an exclusive hunter medal and Beginner Weapon Tickets, as well as various additional rewards.
As mentioned previously, the Spring Major Update for Monster Hunter Now will go live on March 14th, 2024.
