GSC Cinemas has announced the Monster Hunter Movie Malaysian Release Date , after previously having been closed due to the pandemic.
The Monster Hunter Movie Malaysian Release date is set for 28th January, 2021. They announced this via a new poster, which they posted to their social media channels.
The poster is actually new, rather than just rebranding one of the movie’s previous posters. It shows off Milla Jovovich’s character, Artemis and The Hunter facing down the Greater Rathalos.
The movie has had a scattered global release, being released in China first before it was pulled following a racially tone-deaf joke in the film’s opening minutes.
Afterwards it released in the US, where it drew a lot of criticism for an uninspired plot, though the general consensus praised the film’s depiction of Capcom’s monsters.
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne had also released tie-in content for the movie as early as December, in an event that featured the film’s main character, Artemis facing down another Greater Rathalos.
This follows as one of the first new movies to be released in Malaysian cinemas, after they had previously announced a temporary closure due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
GSC in particular has chosen a strong line-up for their re-opening, having also listed a fan screening for the record-breaking Demon Slayer movie as well.
