Netflix has announced that Money Heist: Korea will make it return with Joint Economic Area Part 2 along with the released of its teaser trailer.
The series will return on December 9th, 2022 at Netflix and is both a remake and spin-off for the Spanish TV drama, Money Heist.
The story is narrated by Tokyo, a wanted woman for committing armed robberies and murders of loan sharks who has been recruited by “The Professor”.
Inspired by the heist event that took place in Spain, he plans on executing a four trillion won money heist together with his own group of strategists and desperados at the Joint-Economic Area in the reunified Korean Peninsula.
Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area Part 2 will serve as the conclusion to the Korean heist series and will air for 6 episodes starting from December 9th.
From the teaser trailer, in a moment of desperation for The Professor and his criminal gangs, a new character named SEOUL appears before the heist team to help. SEOUL is a character unique to Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area and has never appeared in any Money Heist series before.
Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area debuted its Part 1 at June 24, 2022 with 6 episodes and has garnered over 33.7 million hours viewed.
