The previously teased Monark game appears to be set for a 14 October launch date in Japan. Monark is the so called “New School Role Playing Game” from former Shin Megami Tensei and Megami Tensei staff, had its apparent launch date – for Japan at the very least – accidentally leaked ahead of time. Published by FuRyu, the game’s debut trailer is scheduled to premiere on 10 June, 12:00 JST. You can find it on Youtube here. There’s also a background music introduction video which may also premiere simultaneously, and has since been taken down. “Nihil” is the name of the game’s theme song, composed by Iori Kanzaki and sung by KAF. “Hi no Jouri” is the background music composed by Tsukasa Masuko.
No platforms were mentioned in the accidental leak, though some pre-order details were given, which will include “a special soundtrack album CD and in-game item downloadable content (two exclusive costumes for the protagonist, one exclusive equipment)”. The protagonist is voiced by Gakuto Kajiwara, who you may know as the voice of Black Clover‘s Asta.
It’s likely people are going to immediately draw comparisons to the Persona series, with the protagonist appearing to have a transformed appearance. We’ll also see if this game will be made available outside of Japan at a later date.
