Azurea: Song of the Sky has announced its release date for Japan! This is a fantasy MMORPG for iOS and Android from ZLONGAME, a title that has apparently been in development for five years. Azurea will be available to pre-download on 12 April 2022, with the actual release date being 13 April.
The game has since achieved a whopping 2 million pre-registrations, with players able to get bonus cosmetic items and more on top of the rewards, the original milestone having been a still fairly lofty 1 million goal.
Should you opt in early to pre-download, you will be able to create your character once that process is one. Once you complete customizing your character, you can save the QR code that appears to import it once the game launches, and even share the design with your friends. The pre-download creation period will be available from 12 April 2022, 00:00 JST to 13 April 2022, 07:00 JST.
The customization is one of the much touted features, claiming over 400 possible adjustments for adults and younger, including tweaks to skeletal structure, hairstyle and hair colour. The face has six adjustable parameters you can move in four directions, or change their angle. At least 10 makeup options are offered, likewise adjustable to its minutiae. Over 20 hairstyles with options for mesh dyeing or gradients with the colour palette will be possible.
The game boasts a fantasy world with graphics comparable to console releases, “ground-breaking character creation”, with a wealth of “lifestyle elements”, revolving around a “heartbreakingly beautiful story”. From your base of operations in Azurea: Song of the Sky, head out into a world filled with unique NPCs with their own stories. The story supposedly is not a “single scenario”, with potentially different endings that differ based on your choices.
