Fans of Dragon Maid are no strangers to censorship, with the latest issue brought up in the community being the cover art for its video game. Officially titled in English as Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid Burst Forth!! Choro-gon☆Breath, the cover art for the game was under scrutiny as the PS4 version is apparently censored.
You can compare the cover art for the Switch version and the PS4 version of the game below:
Netizens have noticed that the placement of the character Lucoa (top right on the cover) has been altered in the PS4 version so that her chest isn’t in full view. Thus, many believed that Sony was behind the censorship, considering the company’s stance on censoring its video games, primarily those from Japan or Japanese releases, such as Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
Note that the original Japanese cover art for the Dragon Maid game is identical to the English versions. This isn’t a case of the game getting censored specifically for Western audiences.
The game was already released in Japan last month on March 24. It was only recently when Aksys Games, the publisher for the English version, announced that it will be coming to the West that the censorship was brought to the attention of English speaking fans.

Users on social media have since chimed in on their thoughts regarding the censorship.
Hiding boob of anime(Kobayashi and Lucoa) character while praising realistic depictions of both sex and violence of their own IP.
That is Sony as of now.
A typical double standard. https://t.co/qxkGDoS5AR pic.twitter.com/ERaHj4fVIJ— <レイフォース> (@rayforcegame) April 9, 2022

But in all seriousness, Maid Dragon was butchered elsewhere and much worse. This cover is small potatoes.

Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid has been at the forefront of censorship as of late. The Chinese release of the anime’s second season was heavily censored, with characters’ breasts reduced in size.
