Minecraft Earth Closed Beta Announcement

2 months after Minecraft Earth announcement trailer, Minecraft Earth released a new trailer to show us more game play and also recruits players for their closed beta test. There are no official statements for the exact closed beta test yet.

From the trailer itself we can see that the game is similar but also very different from both Harry Potter: Wizards Unite and Pokemon Go. Instead of catching pokemons we get to collect mobs and unlock chests for items. As players level up, we’ll be rewarded with building plates.

Players can build and place mobs on the build plates, or even mine blocks from the plates. All the usual interactions between blocks still applies in Minecraft Earth – Water flows, planting corps, and fire burns. One of the most impressive feature from the video is that you can actually place your building plates in the real world at life size.
