Japan-based developer Runpath has just opened pre-registrations for Military Automata, its upcoming auto-battler for the Android and iOS platforms. The game is scheduled for a launch sometime in Summer 2022.
The developer did not disclose what gameplay will entail, but they did share a character teaser as well as some of the lore. The player will assume the role of an unnamed protagonist who has to look for their father whom they lost contact with. Along the way, the chance upon a mysterious girl who goes by the name Ryoka. Ryoka claims to be a ‘military automata’ and our MC learns about a mysterious monster known only as Nyap which is massacring the human race.
The pair is approached by an appropriately named Unidentified Creatures Subjugation Organisation (USO), tasked with protecting humanity from all manners of monstrosities. It is here that the protagonist learns that their father was a member of the USO, so they decide to stay around for more information. MC is then assigned the leader of Unit 4, which consists of military automatas like Ryoka. Unlike Ryoka however, the rest of the team are less trusting of MC as they were betrayed many times by the very people they were supposed to protect. Of course this is where you learn to build that trust and develop relationships with them.
As mentioned earlier, pre-registrations are currently open, so be sure to sign up for the usual rewards, which include in-game currency and items. Drop by the official website for more information.
