miHoYo, the studio behind Genshin Impact have released the first trailer for their latest action game Zenless Zone Zero, test sign-ups for the game are also open.
Following its week-long teaser website, here’s the first trailer, welcoming players to the world of New Eridu and the colorful characters that inhabit it:
“Dear citizens, the sub-Hollow disaster that occurred in the district you are traveling to has been contained. Thank you for your cooperation these past days. Your application to enter the city has been approved. Please enjoy your tour!”
We still don’t know a lot about the game but what we see in the trailer is several teams of characters fighting groups of monsters in real-time action. The game seems to feature hack n slash style action gameplay similar to that of Genshin’s.
The game also features a very Japanese urban techwear-like aesthetic. It reminds me a lot of The World Ends With You or Splatoon in that regard.
Test Sign-Ups
miHoYo has also opened tune testing sign-ups for the game on its official website. Here are more detailed instructions according to their FAQs:
“Q: How can I qualify for the Tuning Test?
A: Follow the steps below to obtain a qualification test:
– Go to the official Zenless Zone Zero website and click on “Sign-Up” [it’s in the top right corner], login with your HoYoverse Account >>> Fill out and submit the Tuning Test survey >>> After submitting your information, sign-up is successful and you have a chance to qualify for the test;
– Participate in Zenless Zone Zero community events and have the chance to join the test!”
The Tuning Test sign-up event will begin today. There is currently no deadline on when the sign-ups will end however miHoYo says they will announce it over their social media platforms at a later date.
If you have qualified for the test, they’ll send you an email or SMS confirming your qualification after the sign-up event has ended.
The test will be for PC and iOS. While we currently have no confirmation, the game will likely receive a test and full release on android at a later date considering miHoYo’s other games are available on the platform.
