Metaphor: ReFantazio Announces Livestream for Latest Updates on Development

SEGA has announced that Atlus will be hosting a special livestream next week to share updates regarding their upcoming RPG, Metaphor: ReFantazio.

The Metaphor: ReFantazio special livestream will be happening on 23 April 2024, at 6 AM (UTC+8) and can be watched on YouTube Live on the SEGA Asia Channel.

The special broadcast will go into detail on new information for Metaphor: ReFantazio as presented by the game’s director Katsura Hoshino, who also directed Persona 3, Persona 4, and Persona 5, as well as Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne.

Previously titled “PROJECT: Re FANTASY”, Metaphor: ReFantazio is a new IP from Atlus that takes place in a high fantasy setting.

The plot will take place ten years after the Kingdom of Euchronia’s crown prince was assassinated, where your protagonist will journey alongside Gallica, his fairy companion, to lift the curse from the lost prince.

The game will combine turn-based and real-time action to its combat and will feature a magical power known as “Archetype” where you can unlock abilities of unique job classes.

Much like other Atlus RPGs, you can strengthen your bonds with your allies, and “time management is key to achieving your goal”.

Metaphor: ReFantazio will launch for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC via Steam in Fall 2024.
