Metal Slug Tactics Coming in Fall 2024

Publisher Dotemu has announced the upcoming release of Metal Slug Tactics in Fall 2024 on multiple platforms.

The turn-based tactical RPG will be released sometime in Fall 2024 on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.

As a tribute to the original game series, Metal Slug Tactics offers a fresh and imaginative approach, capturing the essence of METAL SLUG’s timeless aesthetic through stunning pixel art and fluid animation.

In addition to the classical turn-based tactical RPG elements, the game also introduces rougelike elements to spice up gameplay for a thrilling die-and-retry experience.

In Metal Slug Tactics, players will team up with the Peregrine Falcon Squad as they go up against General Donald Morden as he stages a coup with his army. Choose between 9 iconic characters from the series and create the perfect team and headbang all the way with an amazing soundtrack by Tee Lopes.

The game was initially evealed at the 2021 Summer Game Fest as a PC exclusive, but was later officially delayed to 2023 in a post by Dotemu’s official X account.

No official date has been provided yet for the release of Metal Slug Tactics, although it is projected that it will be revealed later as Fall 2024 approaches.
