Metal Slug : Awakening To Soft Launch in SEA Including Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and More

VNG Games will be soft launching Metal Slug : Awakening licensed by SNK and developed by TiMi Studio. The game will simultaneously launch in 8 regions: Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, and Indonesia.

The classic Run n’ Gun platformer will be bringing back iconic characters such as Marco, Tarma, Fio, Eri, and Hyakutaro Ichimonji; along with vehicles such as the Super-vehicle 001, and of course the impressive arsenal of weapons.

This Metal Slug title will not only continue the classic game element of the original Metal Slug franchise, but also get an upgrade in graphic quality from pixels to 3D.

While maintaining the iconic side-scrolling mode, the game adds new features including combat gameplay as well as the “Hot Pursuit” mode, which is a roguelike element that enables users to obtain three enhancement abilities upon level completion.

On top of the roguelike mode, the game also introduces The Maze, which is an exclusive power-up challenge that helps users strengthen their damages by obtaining vehicles – strengthening materials to equip for upcoming challenges.
