Melty Blood Type Lumina has launched its latest update which includes Neco Arc and a new boss rush mode called “Boss Rush 2”, which features a cameo from Shiki Nanaya.
Well, at least we think it’s Shiki Nanaya. Boss Rush 2 involves Noel excited to be finally leaving her job at the church only to be transported to a parallel world and meet with a version of Shiki Tohno referred to simply as “Boy in School Uniform”. He serves as the final boss of Boss Rush 2.
Upon fighting him, he’s revealed to have the distinct multi-slash attack Sensa Hattenshou, the most well-known special move of Nanaya. His character art also has a noticeable smirk that should be instantly recognizable to long-time Melty Blood fans.
For those that don’t know, Shiki Nanaya is an alternate version of Shiki Tohno created from his subconscious. He often manifests whenever Shiki is near supernatural beings as an express need to kill them.
Many Melty Blood fans on Twitter have posted about the boss rush, being very happy to see hints at Nanaya being in the game:
