Mega Man X DiVE Derivative Works Event

The MEGA MAN X DiVE team will be hosting a Derivative Works event! While the development side continues to optimize the game with CBT participant feedback, they are organizing the “Weapons Design Competition”! Additionally, there will be a “Derivative Works Group” for you to show how you love Mega Man!

X was only able to fight with Buster Gun, while Zero can only use a saber in their games. Thanks to Mega Man X DiVE, them and the other characters can use weapons they don’t normally do! In regards to that, Capcom will hold the “Weapons Design Competition“! Create a “Buster”, “Saber” or “Gatling” weapon of your dreams. Submissions are open from 6 November 2019 to 7 January 2020 (GMT+8).

Both digital or traditional submissions will be accepted. Mizuno Keisuke, Capcom’s artist and art supervisor for Mega Man X DiVE will be scoring your works. The top 3 designs have a chance to be added into the game, with entrants getting plenty of in-game items too! Why don’t you give it a shot?

Capcom has also noticed your fanworks of Mega Man! Do join the official Mega Man Derivative Works group to check out monthly themes for inspiration. November saw RiCO as the featured topic, seeing many works submitted over the next few days! Mizuno Keisuke is also in the group, and he’s glad to see the original character be so popular, seeing your passion and curiosity! Whether you’re a creator or just a Mega Man fan, you might find something you like in the group.
