Meet the supporting characters of Shin Megami Tensei V

In a new live stream from Atlus, new information such as characters and gameplay mechanics have been revealed for Shin Megami Tensei V.

You can watch the stream in question below which lasts just over 8 minutes. Note that despite it being in Japanese, you can turn on the closed captions for English subtitles.

The supporting characters in Shin Megami Tensei V are:

• Tao Isonokami

The protagonist’s classmate who is a third-year student and member of the lacrosse club. Caring and kindhearted, she supports the protagonist once he joins Bethel.

• Yuzuru Atsuta

Responsible, capable and assertive friend of the protagonist. Fights alongside Bethel to protect his sister Miyazu.

• Ichiro Dazai

Cheerful and carefree classmate of the protagonist. He embraces Bethel’s call to action and swears to fight the demons to prove his worth for a noble cause.

• Miyazu Atsuta

Yuzuru’s little sister and only living family member. She is shy and reserved.

• Hayao Koshimizu

The Prime Minister of Japan and Chief of the Bethel Japan Branch. He is calm and collected.

The live stream also introduced Magatsuhi Skills, which are special abilities that can be activated in battle. During Press Turn Battles, taking actions can fill up the Magatsuhi Gauge, which lets players activate Magatsuhi Skills when full.
