Medabots New Project Will Be For Smartphones!

A couple of weeks ago, the Medabots official site revealed a countdown timer which indicates a new announcement for their upcoming project. This is of course in conjunction with celebrating their 20th Anniversary and we’ve speculated that it could be a mobile game. Now, there’re news that was leaked by SoWhat, Inc., a Japanese mobile games developing company and reported by Famitsu (*but was later taken down).

The new Medabots mobile game, also known as Medarots in Japan, will be set in a future where humans and robots co-exist. For fans who already know, the robots will be insect or animal themed that will do battle for titles or fame. However, in the game, players will be able to gather robot parts, items and trade for the customizations of their robot. 

These are merely just the surface of what we know about the game. More information will be revealed soon when the countdown timer times out on the official site. So stay tuned!
