Imagineer has announced Medabots Classics Plus for the Nintendo Switch. This is a collection of Medabots games, an enhanced version of one that first released for the Nintendo 3DS in December 2017. It will be launching in Kabuto Ver. and Kuwagata Ver. on 12 November for Japan, at 4980 yen each.
There will be a limited “Advanced Edition” made available at 13,800 yen, which will be including both the Medabots Classic Plus versions (Kabuto and Kuwagata), a box art memorial plate set, and a three-disc soundtrack (Medabots Navi, Medabots G, and Medabots Two: CORE).
Medabots Classics Plus includes the following eight titles:
- Medabots (Game Boy, 1997)
- Medabots 2 (Game Boy Color, 1999)
- Medabots 3 (Game Boy Color, 2000)
- Medabots 4 (Game Boy Color, 2001)
- Medabots 5: Susutake Mura no Tenkousei (Game Boy Color, 2001)
- Medabots Navi (Game Boy Advance, 2001)
- Medabots G (Game Boy Advance, 2002)
- Medabots Two: CORE (Game Boy Advance, 2003)
The last three titles are new to Plus.
Medabots Classics Plus will add a “button mash function” so that players can more easily clear the mini-games that have required button mashing, by allowing them to press and hold down the button instead. We can probably assume the other new features in the initial Classics collection to also be included including:
- Save states
- Robottle skip
- Automatically win battles from the pre-battle screen
- Meda-Album
- View stats and sprites of collected Medabots
- New Game+
- Multiplayer
- Was local only for the original 3DS collection
- Double speed mode
