As promised,a new update has launched for Marvel’s Spider-Man, allowing players to export their saves into the PS5’s Remastered Edition.
Overnight we released an update for Marvel’s Spider-Man on PS4 bringing those suits, and the ability to export your save to Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered.
We also updated Remastered to allow import of those exported saves and with many additional fixes (incl. rest mode crash) https://t.co/LVnYVykc0Q

Insomniac had previously tweeted that they would implement the update around Thanksgiving. True to their word, the update is available now and also features some new content for those who’ve yet to get the game’s PS5 re-release.
Starting today, you can now access the new suits for Peter Parker that were previously locked behind the install price of a PS5. These include costumes based on The Amazing Spider-Man movies starring Andrew Garfield, as well as a special Spider-Man suit designed by comics artist Dave Rapoza.
The update also fixes various bugs, including one that would cause the game to crash if you put it in rest mode.
Marvel’s Spider-Man has run into a bit of confusion lately, especially with the flurry of other game announcements about backwards compatibility.
Spider-Man Remastered is the game’s next-gen release, which features the aforementioned new suits, raytracing as well as a new face for Peter Parker. It is an entirely new purchase, though, rather than a free upgrade for the PS4 version.
Meanwhile Miles Morales is the game’s pseudo-sequel, which is also available on PS4 and features many of the same upgrades in the PS5 version.
