Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Free for Grabs on Epic Games Store Now

Eidos-Montréal’s take on the ragtag group of intergalactic superhero group, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, is currently free on Epic Games Store.

From now until January 11th, at 8 AM (PT), Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is free to claim on Epic Games Stores before being replaced by Festive Vector’s Sail Forth on the platform’s weekly free game giveaway.

In this 2021 action-adventure, you follow the Guardians of the Galaxy in a story-driven adventure and take control of Peter Quill… who may ask, Star-Lord, the self-proclaimed leader.

The other Guardians, Gamora, Rocket Raccoon, Groot, and Drax the Destroyer, are all AI-controlled allies, but as the self-proclaimed leader, you can issue commands, jam to catchy tunes, and dance off with coordinated attacks.

Despite positive reviews and receptions from fans, Square Enix stated that the game unfortunately underperformed according to their expectatons.

Regardless, the game is worth your time as we gave the game a positive score in our review, saying “All in all, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy managed to exceed my low expectations with a good time.”

“While the game is way too simplistic on some of its mechanics, especially for the combat, I think your enjoyment of it will rely more on the story and character interactions which are a joy to watch.”

“If you’re a fan of the MCU or the original comics, this is definitely one you wanna watch out for.”
