Marvel vs Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes is making its triumphant return in the newly announced Fighting Collection, and the fans are losing their minds!
During today’s June 2024 Nintendo Direct, Capcom made a surprise announcement to bring 7 classic Marvel games in an all-in-one package named “Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics”.
The collection is slated to release sometime this year 2024 in both physical and digital versions across Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam.
This collection is massive, and 7 games available in this all-in-one package are as follows:
- X-Men: Children of the Atom
- Marvel Super Heroes
- Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes
- Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes
- Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter
- X-Men vs. Street Fighter
- The Punisher
Not only are we getting 7 timeless classics back, but this collection will also bring in a variety of enhanced features for players.
This includes online matchmaking for all fighting games in the collection, with online ranked, casual, and lobby matches available.
Online play for the collection will be supported with rollback netcode and there will also be global high score leaderboards for all the games so players can compete to the top of the list.
Furtheremore, other new additions include a flesh-out Training Mode for practicing combos, Spectator Mode to watch friends compete, music jukebox, in-game Museum, new display filters, and more.
“For Capcom fans, fighting game enthusiasts, comic book and Super Hero aficionados, and everyone in between, MARVEL vs. CAPCOM Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics offers a timeless celebration of a legacy fighting game series, delivering a diverse roster of iconic characters, enhanced features and competitive gameplay.”
