Ubisoft has announced that Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is now available globally and exclusively to the Nintendo Switch with its Japan release slated for 2nd December.
The game will have you join Mario and the Rabbid Heroes as they take on the malevolent cosmic entity aiming to bring chaos to the galaxy, Cursa. Cursa and its minions will destroy anything that stands between them and the creatures formed by the fusion of Lumas and Rabbids, the Sparks.
You will travel across various planets and will be joined by a cast of characters from Rabbid Rosalina to even long-time enemy, Bowser.
The game mixes both turn-based tactics and real time action, providing innovative combat system that allows the Heroes to do lots of actions including:
- Dashing at enemies
- Team jumping on allies
- Hiding behind cover
- Taking advantage of their special abilities
Locate and save the Sparks and you will be rewarded with new tactical possibilities that help give you even more edge in battles. Pair your heroes with the Sparks and you will unlock tons of additional abilities from energy shields to powerful elemental attacks.
The game will also allow you to level up and customize your Heroes, giving you more advantages in battles.
A number of well-known composers are involved in scoring for this game including Yoko Shimomura and Gareth Coker. Grant Kirkhope also makes a return to the franchise after scoring for Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle.
The original soundtrack of Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope will be available worldwide starting October 21st on all major streaming services.
Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is available for purchase in three editions, Standard, Cosmic and Gold with the Gold Edition to include the Season Pass that unlocks all upcoming DLCs for the game.
