After two years since its first announcement, Bungie Inc’s new PvP shooter game titled after an old classic, Marathon, returns to tease its gameplay to the world.
Marathon, titled after Bungie’s first IP title in the 90’s is a PvP shooter game that contrasts its counterpart game.
The announcement came with a teaser that does not reveal much in terms of actual gameplay but enough of the setting in which the game may take place upon official release. The scenario of the teaser takes place in a bright, fluorescent forest where sounds of guns are being fired out in the open, from there viewers also take note of a character who has been injured, most likely due to the gunshots heard from the distance. The body of the character appears limp and bleeding, later presumably dead after a moment of respite, with a pink robot cat nuzzling on the characters leg shortly after.
Gameplay wise, there are no major takeaways. But the overall aesthetics this game aims to offer from one minute of content alone gives a lot hope that it will be loud, breathtaking and exciting. The teaser alone has left many fans excited for what the game has in store after its first announcement during PlayStation Showcase 2023.
Gameplay reveal for this extraction shooter game will be announced to the public on April 12, 10 a.m. Pacific Time (April 13, 1 a.m. Malaysia Time)

Recent updates for Marathon before this was dated last year, with just a simple check-in from the developing team with no progress or gameplay shown. The game will be available to play on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
