Square Enix will be releasing a mobile puzzle game based on the Ojisama to Neko / localized as A Man and His Cat manga. Despite announcing pre-registrations on 26 November 2021, the game itself is only scheduled to launch in Winter 2022. Various social channels have been open, including an official Twitter and Instagram.
For the uninitiated, the Man and His Cat manga features the titular man, the widower Kanda, adopting a large cat which had been passed over for other younger, smaller cats. The manga follows the duo in finding companionship in each other. It’s one cozy, wholesome manga, all things considered.
Pre-registrations for the Man and His Cat game, dubbed Ojisama to Neko Super Miracle Puzzle, is available through the official website here. A giveaway campaign to celebrate the start of pre-registrations will be offering signed shikishi from Natsuki Hanae who voices the cat, Fukumaru, and Joji Nakata who voices the man, Kanda Fuyuki. The “Yusha Fukumaru” costume will be given out when the game hits 100,000 pre-registrations.
A trailer has also been released with the announcement of the game. Characters are depicted as cute chibi characters for the match-3 puzzle game. Other game modes have been hinted at. If you want something super casual, keep an eye out for this title next year.
