Passion Republic, a Malaysian developer based in Petaling Jaya have confirmed that they worked as a support studio on Diablo IV.
In a post on the developer’s Facebook Page, Passion Studios revealed that they worked on the game’s character art, environment art, and animation alongside a photo showcasing the staff that was credited in the game.
“The gates of hell have finally opened! We’re honored to announce our contribution to Diablo IV! Join the endless battle between the High Heavens and the Burning Hells as we adventure in the world of Sanctuary. Big thanks to Blizzard for having us on board”!
Passion Republic has worked on several AAA games over the years including Death Stranding, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remaster, and several From Software titles like Elden Ring and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. They also worked on the local Malaysia indie game No Straight Roads.
With Diablo IV being the fastest-selling game Blizzard has ever published, it’s great to see a local Malaysian studio work on such a successful title. Hopefully, they’ll continue to see bigger projects in the future.
Diablo IV is available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via the Blizzard Battle Net Store.
