Malaysia Cyber Games was first held in Stadium Merdeka (KL) 2 years ago and even honored a seat in the Malaysia Book of Record for the most number of teams participating in Dota 2 Tournament with 792 teams. This year with the support from Kementerian Komunikasi dan Multimedia Malaysia (KKMM) and Suruhanjaya Komunikasi Multimedia Malaysia (SKMM), the grand competition is coming back with RM300, 000 total prize pool and 9 different games to compete (including CS: GO, PUBG, Dota 2 and Mobile Legends).
Here is the list of the game to compete during the 2-days event:
- Dota 2 – RM50, 000 total prize pool
- Mobile Legends – RM30, 000 total prize pool
- Tekken 7 – RM40, 000 total prize pool
- FIFA 18 – RM50, 000 total prize pool
- Street Fighter V – RM25, 000 total prize pool
- Injustice 2 – RM10, 000 total prize pool
- F1 2017 – RM10, 000 total prize pool
- Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds – RM40, 000 total prize pool
- Counter-Strike: Global Offensive – RM45, 000 total prize pool
Malaysia Cyber Games 2018 will be held on 13 and 14 January in PWTC with free ticket admission. You will be able to try out the games on console or computer during the event as well as taking part in the lucky draw (which the prizes including Razer Phone, Customize PC Rig worth RM5,000 and Logitech G610 Gaming Keyboard).
