As part of a collaboration with SNK’s The King of Fighters series, Mai Shiranui will appear in the free-to-play mobile gacha game, Goddess Kiss: O.V.E.
Mai Shiranui will be obtainable for a limited period of time in Goddess Kiss: O.V.E.‘s first crossover event of 2021. Specifically, there will be two new characters based on the famous kunoichi from The King of Fighters, [Mai Shiranui] and [Hanbok Mai]. The latter will feature Mai Shiranui garbed in traditional Korean attire.
Previously, Goddess Kiss: O.V.E.‘s Facebook page teased this collaboration by posting a photo of Mai Shiranui’s silhouette. Flero Games is yet to reveal the exact date of this crossover event. Whether or not more characters from The King of Fighters are also joining Mai Shiranui remains uncertain.
Goddess Kiss: O.V.E. is a relatively new mobile game, with its English version released in October of last year. Strangely enough, the Japanese web browser version of the game terminated its service in September 2020. Regardless, 2021 appears to be a promising year for Goddess Kiss: O.V.E. global, with this upcoming crossover event in store.
On the other hand, The King of Fighters is a fighting game franchise with more than 20 years of history underneath its belt. The next entry of the franchise, The King of Fighters XV, will launch later this year.
