Puella Magi Madoka Magica celebrates its 10th anniversary of its TV anime broadcast today, with a celebratory website opened. A new Madoka project is also in the works to commemorate the 10th anniversary. The nature of the project was not explicitly specified, but you can look forward to that. In the meantime, you can check out the website here which will gradually reveal other commemorative art over the week until 14 January. There are also congratulatory messages from various people involved in the project, from director Akiyuki Shinbo, screenwriter Gen Urobuchi, character designer Ume Aoki, SHAFT president Mitsutoshi Kubota and Madoka’s voice actress, Aoi Yuuki.
While the English version of the game has since shut down, the Japanese version of Magia Record is also celebrating the series’ anniversary with limited time items available in the shop like 10-pull gacha tickets available until 15 January 23:59 JST. A 10th anniversary pick-up gacha will go live from 0:00 JST, 8 January.
There will be a guaranteed pick-up gacha for a 4-star unit for 300 Magia Stones.
Since there’s already a mobile game, it probably won’t be another one. Fans of the series can look forward to more news coming soon, so stay tuned to see what else can be thrown at you.
