Out of the blue, Mabinogi: Fantasy Life has soft-launched for the Android and iOS platforms in Southeast Asia. The game is published by SIAMGAME with authorisation from Nexon.
This is very much the same game on the PC with some additions and focus on social life simulation. On top of being your standard MMORPG, the game puts quite a bit of emphasis on life outside battles. On the combat side of things, you will be able to play as any one of the 10 classes, such as Fighter, Archer, Mage, Alchemist and Bard.
Once you are tired of beating up monsters, you will be able to do side jobs such as a chef, singer, dancer and even a DJ. Apart from making friends the usual way, you can even have NPCs be your buddies. As you might come to expect, housing plays a big part of the game, and you will be able to do a lot with the roof over your head.
All in all, veteran Mabinogi players will find much to like here as the majority of the elements of the original PC version are retained here, and new players will be able to appreciate the more laid back atmosphere and the non-combat side jobs.
In any case, Mabinogi: Fantasy Life is available for download on the Google Play Store, with no mention as to when the iOS version will be out, so give it a spin if this is your kind of thing.
