Love Live Sunshine and Hatsune Miku song and music video collaboration in the works

The girls of Love Live Sunshine will be having a collaboration with Hatsune Miku as part of the “We Are Challengers Project”, which will include a new song and animated music video. This will mark the sixth anniversary for Love Live Sunshine, and what better way to commemorate the milestone than to work with Miku herself? The announcement tweet can be found here, after also being made at the Aqours’ Dreamy Concert 2021 event.

Outside of the collab, a Blu-ray box set that will have Sunshine‘s two anime seasons and film will ship out 29 March 2022. The set includes an exclusive song packed in a bonus CD. The Genjitsu no Johanne – Sunshine in the Mirror – illustration series will see a manga adaptation titled Genjitsu no Johanne – Unpolarized Reflexion – will begin serializing in Love Live! Days Love Love! Sogo magazine come February. For more of the Sunshine girls, each Aqours member will be featured in their individual issue of the Aqours magazine that will begin publication 31 January.

The franchise is still going strong, what with its All Stars Nijigasaki branch, and the latest Superstar branch. In fact, the latter’s music videos have received English subtitles, so there’s definitely the international appeal there. Where will the girls go from here? Stay tuned for the new year!
