KLAB has announced that Love Live School Idol Festival, the mobile rhythm game featuring Love Live! characters and song will be shutting down its services this March.
The termination notice came from the game’s official website and with it states that the game will end its service on March 31st, 2023.
In addition, School Idol Festival will also live on in its sequel game, Love Live! School Idol Festival 2 MIRACLE LIVE! (SIF2) that is planned to be released in the future. To commemorate all the players that have played SIF, SIF2 will also be giving out special rewards when it launched based on your progress when the first SIF ends.
Do note that you would need to register for a Game Data Transfer in the first SIF to be applicable for the special rewards in SIF2. You can do so by going to the Data Transfer banner on the home screen of the game.
Via Appmagic, the game has garnered over 400 million USD in terms of revenue with its peak during the first year of its release. The game unfortunately has seen a decline on 2019 which also happened to be the year Love Live All Stars was released.
As mentioned earlier, a new Love Live! game is in the works tilted School Idol Festival 2 MIRACLE LIVE! No official release date has been announced for the game as of yet but new information is expected to be delivered via a special broadcast on February 1st, 2023.
Love Live School Idol Festival is a rhythm mobile game by KLAB featuring the casts and songs from the Love Live series and was released for Android and iOS back in April 15th, 2013.
