After appearing to be accidentally leaked, Lost Judgment has been finally announced as the sequel to Judgment, also known as Judge Eyes in Japan. Promising to have superseded the original, Takayuki Yagami returns as the protagonist, with Takuya Kimura reprising his role. The humble detective gets caught up in yet another mystery, with both suspenseful, and light hearted moments.
Yokohama is a new location added to the sequel, where you’ll be able to explore this port time depending on the time of day. A high school plays a large role in the game, with the various locations in the building rendered with loving detail: from the exterior, to the classrooms, staff rooms and roofs.
The Snake is added as a new combat style, leaning closer to parrying as you counter enemy attacks. Investigations have also been revamped, with more action elements such as scaling walls, sneaking, and so forth.
School Stories are optional side stories, where Yagami undercover can help students across a variety of situations. Naturally, this means, mini games! These stories can be more light-hearted than the main story, but this doesn’t mean they’re absent from suspense.
Lost Judgment is slated for a global launch on 24 September 2021.
