Xbox will also be revealing a first look at Xbox Series X gameplay as part of the event, on 7 May, 11 AM ET / 8 AM PT. You can find the event’s official Twitter here. New game announcements should be commencing over the week, so here’s to getting hyped over the various announcements that will be coming out. The “playable content” part of the Summer Game Fest 2020 is curious: does this mean they’ll be releasing demos of games attendees would normally be playing at their booths? Granted, all this speculation would be pretty fruitless and we can only wait to see how it’s done.
With the coronavirus pandemic still ongoing, events have had to move digitally if they want to hold one at all with all the restrictions in place. This won’t be the only event coming up; The Steam Game Festival Summer Edition will be on 9 to 14 June, during the dates where E3 would have been.
